Paralex does not practice law and does not compete with law firms. Our products give counsel the record, the visibility, and the tooling to serve their clients better than they could with email, spreadsheets, and a signing tool.
Compliance lives with the lawyer. The software gives the lawyer evidence: who received what, when, from which version, and what happened next. Any firm can bring its clients onto our products on the same terms as any other.
Independence
Owned by no firm.
Paralex, Inc. is independent of any law firm. That independence is structural, not a slogan. A platform owned by a law firm asks other firms to run their clients through a competitor. Ours are deliberately not that.
What does independent mean?
No law firm has or will have:
- i.
Ownership. No equity, revenue share, or financial interest of any kind in Paralex or any Paralex product.
- ii.
Information rights. No platform usage data, no market reporting, and no visibility into who is on the platform.
- iii.
Access to another firm's clients. Firm access is delegated per client, granted by the client, revocable at any time, and isolated by row-level security. Every firm, in the same access class.
- iv.
Exclusivity. No preferential terms and no exclusive relationship. Every firm brings its clients onto our products on identical terms.

Built by someone who did the work for 29 years.
Stephen Candelmo is the CEO and Founder of Paralex. He spent 29 years practicing corporate and franchise law before building the tools he wished he had: software that understands the legal framework, the business process, and how to connect the two.
